Let me preface this post by saying: I REALLY LIKE YANIK SILVER as a person – what I’ve seen of him, read from him, I think he is a sincere person of integrity. So this review is not meant to be a Yanik-bashing post.
It is merely my honest account of what happened when I purchased and implemented his 33 Days To Online Profits program to present and market my flagship product – a 480 page book and CD-Rom of natural healing protocols for IBD and IBS (these are digestive diseases), called Listen To Your Gut.
Yanik’s sales site, filled with quotes from respected marketers like this, convinced me to give his sales method a try:
“Jim Edwards and Yanik Silver hit the Internet nail right on the head in their brilliant and realistic ’33 Days to Online Profits.’ They actually lead you by the hand from total online innocence to mastery of profits on the Net. I highly recommend that you follow their roadmap to your success.”

My healing program, Listen To Your Gut, had already been selling online for 6 years when I put up a new website according to Yanik’s instructions, to see if it would increase my sales. Being a rigorous person, who likes to test things thoroughly – and a writer – you can be sure I followed Yanik’s instructions to the letter. And guess what?
My sales DECREASED.
After trying numerous tweaks, and quite frankly being so embarrassed about the site that I didn’t like to give the URL out to people I met, I decided forget this, I’m going to put up a new site that is what I would want to see if I was a person looking for healing from these diseases.
So I put up my new site and then just let the two sites run for the next 18 months. I switched all my affiliate links, articles, etc. to the new site and my sales quickly increased.
But what was even more worrying than the drop in sales from the Yanik-site, was the comments that started being logged on various forums about me and this Extended Sales Letter style website (as advised in 33 Days To Online Profits). For example, after someone recommended my book on a forum, the reply was:
“I actually found her book on the original website she had up. At first I thought it was a hoax because the design of the website was so gaudy, but I was desperate so I ordered it.”
Yikes! Very not good. So I have now taken the Yanik Silver-directed website down and my experiment is complete. Here is a video where I show you what these two websites look like and compare the style and tactics used on each:
I don’t know what kind of products or services sell better using Yanik’s website template, but I think I can safely say that if you’re selling long-standing products, with integrity (my return rate is less than 1%) then just follow your gut and put up the kind of website YOU would like to see if you were searching for that solution to your problem.
best,
Jini
