Hi Susan,

Here's the quick answer: One message = One website

So pick the message/service/product that you want to promote the MOST and then put your blog on that site.

Your websites can then have cross-links between them, but if you don't get more targetted and specific, you'll keep being scattered all over the place and will never build good traffic, or a good database with any one site.

You can have different blogs for each site, but as you have seen that takes a LOT of time to maintain and you'll just end up spreading yourself too thin to be effective anywhere.

If you go to my main site and then just copy everything I've done there, you won't go wrong. 10 years of testing and refining has gone into that site and it's very effective:

http://www.ListenToYourGut.com

My other 2 other sites that have blogs (this one and www.colicinfant.com) are just things that I tinker around on. As you may have noticed, this site is not monetized at all. It is just somewhere I share what I've learned from time to time, in hopes that it will save people some of the aggro I've been through. I may expand and monetize it at some point, I may not.

If you want to chat to someone about how to organize your sites, message, marketing funnel, building your list, etc. you could get in touch with my hubby - he doesn't charge for the first call and I guarantee he will give you a number of good ideas and direction in that first free call. his site is:

http://www.EcotechCRMdesign.com

Last thing, when I had a look at your sites, you have lots of great content, but it is not organized in a way that leads me to take action on anything. So my overall impression was, "Wow, she looks legit. Maybe I'll book a session sometime. I wonder where she lives and if there's a way I could work her into my Healing Retreat?"

But I wasn't clearly led on your site to give you my contact details (via a compelling opt-in), and there wasn't enough info for me to book a session with you - I'm still unsure. Also, if you don't provide solid contact details, again, it doesn't inspire confidence. If you don't have a business address, even a PO Box is better than nothing.

Here's a friend of mine, who is in a similar field to yours. When I started helping her with her business, her site was very much like yours and she was doing all the programming etc. herself. Her revenues have since quintupled and her list has tripled in size. So again, study what we've done with her site and copy it and you'll do well:

HI Jini! I love your article! You managed to answer most all of my questions about generating traffic to my Psychic Buzz blog!
After reading your article I am wondering if I should have different blogs or one blog with different categories? So far I have my fun crafty stuff, my psychic insights, and the pure natural herbal products I use and love on one blog.

My husband put my wordpress blog on our website in May of 09. It is difficult to keep posting quality articles when no one knows your blog exists. Thanks for giving me hope.
Stay blessed!
